DHCP Woes since Last Update
« on: May 20, 2018, 06:18:21 PM »
Win 7 Pro x64.  AIS 18.4.2338.

Ever since the install of the latest version my NIC takes an age (5+minutes) to get a new IP address lease (DHCPNACK message).

During this time (of course) Avast cannot launch its emergency update task.

When it finally succeeds I can browse, email, etc. just fine.  The PC is routinely rebooted daily.

I have tried:  repair, clean install (each twice), flush ARP cache, repair Winsock, flushdns & all the usual DNS fixes.  No go.

Any ideas anybody?

TIA

Others testing the latest Beta are reporting here https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=220998.msg1471424#msg1471424  that is fixed.

Let's hope so...

They talking about DNS not about DHCP. Two different things.
