About IDP Improvement Suggestions
« on: May 20, 2018, 06:25:05 PM »
With the rapid development of ransomware, various kinds of ransomware have emerged one after another. Recently, a kind of MBRLock ransomware virus has been found, which has caused many users to be threatened. This kind of MBRLock can install boot viruses by possibly modifying the hard disk RAW (Bootkit). ) Or directly encrypt or even destroy the MBR, resulting in no boot or even hard disk damage.

It is highly recommended that IDP be added to detect malicious compromises or encrypt MBR functions, because before this means if avast or AVG cannot detect this type of MBRLock at the first time, avast or AVG will be unable to protect the user's PC.
Kaspersky's behavior monitoring module SW, which is also known as world-renowned security software
? BitDefender's behavior monitoring module ATD and G data's behavior monitoring BB can successfully prevent any malware from making any changes to the MBR when the anti-virus engine cannot kill the samples. So I strongly recommend improving your IDP.

I chose avast to believe in your product technology and service. Thank you. I hope you will adopt my suggestion.

The Kaspersky and Bitdefender BBs were well advanced. They are very sensitive in the matter of any change in the system.

Behavior Shield is very conservative. The same as file heuristics. I hardly ever see anything from either. I don't get it why avast! always gets same tech as others, but it's always so conservative, toned down and insignificant it hardly seems to make much of a difference. Which is a shame.
