After research and according to the report of several users of the old ASZ browser on XP, it turns out that it is no longer executable for (only) less than a month, although it still appears in installed programs .
If you had this information, it would have been better to hear it rather than "node""a while ago" or "try it".
It may be fun for you to beat around the bush but your words are far from being gospel words.
You should also know that the loss of the XP browser does not bother me at all.
This is just to try to help users on the French forum that asked the question, forum that does not receive the visit of avast staff nor that of evangelists that you are both

No need to try, it won't work.
even if there is no more precise explanation, thank you for not wanting to have fun with us as has the masochistic intention of bob. ;)

Hi Chris, while I know about the details, I'm not sure if it's allowed to post them openly. Best you wait for Martin.

Before using such words, (masochistic) I suggest you first check their meaning.

Honest question - What is the benefit/purpose of this browser?

What does it do for you that running Firefox with Ublock Origin and/or NoScript doesn't already do?

Personally, one tool to make banking and shopping secure.
One browse to control the amount of data I share.
I combine mine with the addition of Avast SecureLine.

It's nothing other than google chrome with a slower update cycle and some additional extensions along with a custom themed UI, The same thing what Comodo Secure browser or any of the other variant of secure chromium based browsers offers.

All of the features can be attained by using other extensions. You can use containers in firefox along with your extensions and never bother about this reskinned/rebranded slow updated version of chrome.

I'm glad to know you have all the answers. Please set up bankmode for me on one of the other browsers. The Secure Browser is also still a work in progress. Auto updates are scheduled for the next version.

Well, Note: The Bank Mode feature is only available when Avast Antivirus is installed and running on your PC: So you need the av to set it up.

In that case you can download and install Comodo Antivirus and Run a Virtual "Kiosk" from that and get the secure banking mode, They already have a Secure DNS service included so you won't have to worry about the  "hijacked host or network" Along with using a Virtual keyboard which they have included as well to  "prevents keyloggers and network-based eavesdropping from capturing any of your data."

It's not a unique thing since it has been included in comodo since version 6 :
https://help.comodo.com/topic-72-1-766-9059-The-Virtual-Desktop.html
https://help.comodo.com/topic-72-1-766-9213-Comodo-Secure-Shopping.html

Comodo Secure Shopping provides unbeatable security for online banking and shopping sessions by ensuring you connect to those websites from within a security-hardened browsing environment. Browsers running in the secure environment are isolated from any potentially hostile processes running on your computer.

Hides sensitive online data from other processes running on your PC
Prevents key-loggers from recording your keystrokes
Warns you if there is a remote connection to your computer
Stops hackers and malware taking screenshots of your session
Detects fake SSL certificates to stop man-in-the-middle attacks

You can configure Secure Shopping to alert you whenever you visit  specific shopping, banking and other websites and ask you if you want to use Secure Shopping environment, open the website in a secure browser window or continue with the same browser.
It can run with any browser.

- Avast! is catching up, which is good, and what good is a "Secure Browser" if it does not  receive updates made to its core at the same time at which they are made available? what is the secure part about that?

You wanted to setup a safe banking mode. This is how you can set up one without avast or the "secure" browser. If you have an av which can't help you spot and block suspicious sites and existing keyloggers in your system in the first place no "Secure" browsing is going to help you at all.

I've learned many years ago to stay as far a way from the Comodo Dragon as possible.
Hope you're enjoying the dragon.
This by the way isn't the Comodo endorsement forum. :)
