:)  Hi Snowhite :

Specifically, what did you do to "delete the installation
files of the old antivirus" ?
In addition to "uninstalling" from "Add/Remove Programs"
did you use your computer's "Search > All files and
folders " AND  use a "safe" Registry Cleaner to "remove"
entries there ? Was there any item that would NOT be
      "deleted" ?
I uninstall the old AVG, restart the computer, install the Avast and restart the computer again, in the mean time I found some files in backup as I can remember,  so I delete them. After that I reinstall older version of ZoneAlarm, and after that manualy enabled webshield to work with Firefox, Is there something that I did wrong?
I was not uninstaling from "Add/Remove Programs" , becouse AVG had there own uninstall program wich I was using to uninstall .

The Legacy keys cannot be deleted as a folder. You need to delete value by value... line by line.
Or you need to take ownership of the whole folder.

Ok, how do I do that, deleting value by value.

You should be able to highlight and delete them from the right pane. ie find the folder in the registery, highlite it, then click on the values in the right hand pane, and delete each value, then the folder. REMEMBER back up your registery, just in case...

1. Download, install and use ERUNT to backup your registry. http://www.larshederer.homepage.t-online.de/erunt/

2. Go to that Registry keys using regedit.exe
     Legacy_AVG7CORE
     Legacy_AVG7RSW
     Legacy_AVG7RSXP
     Legacy_AVGTDI
     AVG7 Wrap Driver

3. At the right pane, click on each line you see, starting from the bottom and not from the top.
So, value by value, bottom to top at the right pane, delete them.
After that, delete the key at right (like you'll do with a folder in the Windows Explorer)

I don't know any tool to delete Legacy drivers.

I did everything that you posted here, at first I success with the deleting, but when I did search again for AVG reg.k. they show up again, I also run CCleaner. So I was thinking to download Avast again, uninstall Avast and ZoneAlarm, after that install again Avast and install some other firewall. If you have any other suggestion, please let me know. :-\

But when I did search again for AVG reg.k. they show up again
Are you sure they're AVG-Grisoft related? There are a lot of entries with the keyword AVG that are NOT to be deleted and NOT related to the antivirus.

So I was thinking to download Avast again, uninstall Avast and ZoneAlarm, after that install again Avast and install some other firewall. If you have any other suggestion, please let me know. :-\
Follow:
1. Uninstall avast from Control Panel first.
2. Boot
3. Use Avast Uninstall for complete uninstallation (read http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_uninstall_util.html)
4. Boot
5. Install again
6. Boot

I tried Zone Alarm on my computer as well and I got the same problem. I deleted Zone Alarm and am just running the Windows Firewall. That's what I'm going to do for now unless I found a better firewall program that is compatible with Avast. I wouldn't sacrifise Avast for anything.

By all accounts there have been some problems with the latest release of ZA (not just with avast), some are even going back to the earlier version of ZA.

There are others, Comodo, Jetico, Sunbelt Kerio, etc.
See some firewall tests for comparison, some are freeware but many are paid for versions http://www.firewallleaktester.com/tests.php. Also see http://www.thefreecountry.com/security/firewalls.shtml

Any malware that manages to get past your defences will have free reign to connect to the internet to either download more of the same, pass your personal data (user names, passwords, keylogger retrieved data, etc.) or open a backdoor to your computer, so outbound protection is essential, something that XP's firewall doesn't have.
