Windows 10 - Avast Saying Stuff in WinSXS is RootKit?
« on: June 02, 2018, 12:23:54 PM »
Here are what Avast-Free Caught - https://gyazo.com/4a1cb4c173ce619aeeadae42f27f8648

I've done multiple Full Scans and Malware Byte Scans following this and they're not coming up clear, but I didn't even do anything.

So where could they have gone? Should I be worried?

I've also not updated recently (10+Days ago) and also rebooted and done multiple scans again.

What can I do next?

Probably FP located in C:\windows.old

If you don't need it and want more disk space >>  https://www.howtogeek.com/223821/what-is-the-windows.old-folder-and-how-do-you-delete-it/

Ah Thanks for the quick reply, I just went and checked now and the entire contents even with hidden file of WinSXS in windows.old is gone, I can't even see it in there anymore, should I just delete window.old anyway?
