hello i have McAfee and malwarebytes anti-virus/malware installed and i wanted to know if installing secure browser would cause any problems

No, it is just a browser, you should be fine.

Yes it will work as a stand alone browser, but there are a couple of functions/features that require Avast to do some backend functionality, such as Bank Mode.
