This problem just came back. It's frustrating not knowing, at a glance, whether VPN is on or not.
I just uninstalled 18.4 and reinstalled 18.4.
I think this might have something to do with the latest Windows update for Win10 (April/May release).
Any news?
It's not affecting me and I'm on Windows 10 v1803.
