Well, OK.  But do you get notification of Windows Updates with BigFix?
I never managed to install and have BifFix working in my computer...  :'(
I couldn't find a reason for this... The installer does not really installs...

I just tested the uninstaller and it worked as well as the installer on my pc.   I can't see any point in having the program if it doesn't do anything.

Now I've got it... I'm thinking the problem I've posted here (http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=22180.0) was the culprit  :P :'(

is it worth it or not???
If your  computer is 100% legal, why bother?
Unless the calling home is something you can't live with.
I personally don't care about the occasional verification.

I have a 100% legal $200 Retail Copy of XP Home SP2 that I ordered online and I DO care - I care very much that anyone would load spyware like this onto my PC.  I do not allow Microsoft to "update" my PC.  Do I trust Microsoft?  Not the tiniest bit - the CEOs are dishonest and are behaving like thugs, strong-arming users, vendors, banks, the ISO - and those are just the ones I know about.  Microsoft is the main spyware vendor FROM WHOM I want to be protected.

You obviously don't like Microsoft. Why aren't you running Linux or, get a Mac ???
