Avast Passwords on Android - DB File location
« on: February 26, 2019, 07:09:07 AM »
Hello,

I have a OnePlus 3 Device with Android Oreo 8.0, Stock Rom, No Root.
I am trying to find out where the database file is located in which Avast Passwords is storing the password information, like the equivalent for the "kdbx" file on keepass.
I already know that they are not saved in the cloud, because the Avast Passwords App is still working and I am able to edit and save information while the device is completely offline.

I want to know this because I want to save the file somewhere else without using some kind of cloud stuff. My Avast Passwords App is not synced to any cloud.

thanks in advance

Saturos

Hi Saturos, there is no file, the passwords are saved in the app (so if you clear the app data, you will lose them). We do not provide any export/import either - security reasons. The only way is to enable the synchronization.

There is no such option.

Next time we recommend you to configure Avast Passwords synchronization, so that you can sync other devices and restore your backup any time you need.
