Find My Computer Function?
« on: June 10, 2018, 10:30:44 PM »
I'm new to Avast, having just come off of another anti-viral program.  I'm curious if Avast has the ability to find your computer if it's lost or stolen?  The last anti-viral package I had had this function even if it took forever, the package I have on my phone has this function if I ever lose my phone or it's stolen.  I don't know if Avast has it or not or if I'm just missing it.

Thanks,

I suggest you take a look at the following, https://www.preyproject.com/
I've used it for years and it's even helped me track down one of my laptops when I lost it at the airport.

No, I don't need to find my computer.  Rather I just paid for a subscription and began using it today, had been using the free trial and evaluation period.  I was curious if it had as part of the subscription the find my computer function should it ever be lost or stolen.  The anti-virus package that I came off of earlier had it even though it'd take so long to actually locate your computer you'd give up on it.  I actually do know how to find it using my Microsoft account but I was just curious if Avast offered the same feature.

But thank you to all who have responded.  In addition to my Microsoft account, I'll be sure to check out the various alternatives that folks who have posted have offered...
