Avast/WIN 98/AOL/setup?

Can Avast 4.7 Home EDITION on win 98 Operating system be setup to scan e-mail on aol 9.0SE? ???

I don't think so as AOHell uses a proprietary email program/protocol. This has I believe been covered a few times in the forums, so I suggest a forum search (AOL email) for confirmation.
