Which one to trust? Desktop alert or Browser alert
« on: June 18, 2018, 01:23:39 AM »
Inserted a USB and got an Avast "infected with ..." desktop message.

Went online to check out the virus origins and what harm it does to my USB and computer. Was left confuse when the Avast online security green tick  says a website is safe and yet as I clicked to open and read more, got a conflicting Avast website blocked message. :-\

Who would you believe if in my shoes?

Hello,
on the web page (hxtps://www.f-secure.com/v-descs/trojan_lnk_gen.shtml) there is an example of malicious script so it triggers the detection.
