What happens when my license key expires?

I'm a big fan of Avast! anti-virus and have been using the Home version since June 2003.

I'm giving my computer to my parents who aren't particually clued up on how everything works and was hoping to keep avast home installed.

The thing is my license key will expire in August 2004 and I'm going to be out of the country so I can't get to the machine to put a new key in.

What is the procedure for getting a new license? Do I just re-register and tell them the new key to put in?

Right, you just re-register and will get a new key.
If you re-register now, you'll get a key valid for another 14 months, i.e. till March 2005.

Cheers. Just re-registered till March and it's a simple enough process for them to enter the new key then.

Is it true that Avast will start requiring electronic fingerprints and photographs of users prior to the issue of new registration keys?
