could you please navigate to C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast and copy the log folder somewhere else (eg. your Desktop) and then compress it to zip/rar and upload it? It could help us find what's causing your issues.

I would gladly do so, but you need to be more specific about the procedure for "upload it" - where to would be a start.

Please follow the instructions for uploading to our ftp server here https://support.avast.com/en-eu/article/160/.
We also need cef_log.txt located in C:\Users\<your profile>\AppData\Roaming\AVAST Software\Avast\log. Other way to get there is to run %appdata% in Run. Please attach it to the archive with the logs.

That procedure seems unnecessarily complicated, especially since it requires me to download and install some software to accomplish the upload. Can't I just email you the zip file or save it to OneDrive and email you a link to it?

I was worried about the filesize of the log folder, so I suggested the official way. You can send me the file/link to it to michal.prokes@avast.com.

Done. The zipped files are actually less than 1MB in size, possibly because I did a clean install of avast a couple of days ago in an attempt to solve these issues.

Reporting the same problem here. After the update everything is broken, just a white screen, can't scan files, can't open the menu, can't do anything. Did a uninstall and reinstall and only worked the first reboot. Avast Internet Security. windows 10 1809 1734.112

I have the same problems with my Avast Antivirus Free 18.5.2342 (Build 18.5.3931.0) on Windows 10 Version 1803. Sometimes I get a white sceen, sometimes a "UI failed to load", one times with a detailed information: "{"protectionColor":"green", "cookie":"","module":"MainLayout","view":"default"}". When I want to open the software updater module I get a "Module error: failed to load module security software". - And now there is again a new one: "Module Error. Failed to load module Notifications/default. [object Object]" when I klick the "Notifications" icon.

Behavior is different each time, some times it just loas a white screen and can't do anything, can't scan, can't see firewall settings, can't see anything on the menu; sometimes it loads de UI but whenever you try to access anything it just puts the screen in red and a message that says "Module error. Failed to load module SecurityFirewall".

Already did the uninstall method with the cleaning tool and secure boot several times, cleaned registry and folders, anything changes. Windows 10 Pro 1803 Avast Internet Security.

Having paid for a security software that is just sitting there is not nice at all. Looking forward to uninstall it and go with another solution.

The blank UI issue appears to have been fixed - everything is working normally now on my system - and, like the "locked" pdf issue, it has seemingly been done without requiring a program update.
