CPU pegged at 100% after update on Windows XP laptop
« on: June 20, 2018, 10:32:59 PM »
Hi,

I have a Windows XP (needed to run legacy applications) laptop.  I've had Avast on this Dell laptop for quite some time without issue.  However, after the most recent update, the CPU usage is pegged at 100%.  I tried re-booting, uninstalling an re-installing Avast, but the problem still persists.  Can you help?

Thanks,
Leif

In case this helps, I've attached a screen shot of task manager showing Avast taking up 99% CPU usage.  I really could use someone's help.

Thanks,
Leif W.
