Password "Password" gone

I have tried to put in my password for the password section of Avast to no avail, it won't take it. I don't have an email for the restore. What are my options? Can I get the password back or is it gone - and if so, how to I clean it out so I can start over?

, do you mean the Protect Avast with a password option in Avast's settings (General section, Password sub-section)? If yes, then I can't help you, as I don't deal with core Avast Antivirus, but only Avast Passwords product (Privacy -> Passwords)

If you mean you can't access you Avast Passwords as it won't take your Master Passwords, then to start over, you just need to click on the cogwheel icon and in settings click on "Reset Avast Passwords and delete my data" link
