After update wrong desktop

Hi,
after updating to version 18.5.2342 today and restarting my computer I went to a completely changed desktop, only a few icons were on it and the Avast icon was missing completely.
I never had such a problem before. I use Windows 7 Ultimate, in the start menu there are no programs to be found.
In the Windows control panel there are all of the programs as usual, but I cant find them on the desktop. Can anybody help me here?
