Links (for almost everything...) There are others a google search for freeware registry cleaner should get some hits after that you would need to check out the web sites for how they work.

I couldn't recommend the one I use RegSeeker as it is fairly powerful but not very user friendly and doesn't categorise the results, so you need to have a knowledge of the registry and the various keys, etc.

ok heres my deal. earlier this morning as i was playing one of my online games i started gettin alot of lag so i checked my fps and my ping and then checked my system resources.  i use win xp home. in my task manager theres a system process that is "System Idle Process" its using up 96 - 99 of my cpu. Its eratic too. It constantly jumps through the list of processes. 
Whats up? someone tell me whats up plz ive never seen this at all

"System Idle Process" is the 'remaing' cpu to 100%
It's not 'using' that CPU but just indicating that 96 - 99 of your cpu is idle...
Well, I think nothing is wrong...  8)
