Can't open an important Website with Avast Browser

(1/1)

REDACTED:
I was trying to access Aetna's Navigator website and was unable to get in.  Here is the message I got:

Unable To Identify Your Browser

As you were browsing https://member.aetna.com something prevented us from identifying your browser. There are a few reasons this might happen:

You've disabled JavaScript or cookies in your web browser.
A third-party browser plugin, such as Ghostery or NoScript, is preventing JavaScript from running. Additional information is available in this support article.
A browser plugin, such as Google Chrome's Data Saver, is routing your network traffic through a data center or other proxy. Additional information is available in this support article.
Resolving these issues should restore your access to member.aetna.com.

You reached this page when attempting to access https://member.aetna.com/appConfig/login/login.fcc from 204.116.239.241 on 2018-07-06 18:26:45 GMT.

None of the "fixes" seemed to apply.  Is there something I can do short of opening another browser?

mchain:
Confirmed.

Same messages as  OP encountered.  CAPTCHA is required to proceed even tho no login process or procedure is on the page.

Likely due to browser hardening features built into Avast Secure Browser detected.

I've subsequently learned, from the company, Aetna (https://www.aetna.com/), that their website is compatible only with MS, Chrome, and Firefox - perhaps one more.  Seems incredible for such a large company.

mchain:
What you may be witnessing is the result of hackers invading corporate databases and stealing property and information that is not theirs to steal.  Restricting compatible browsers may be one of their ways of protecting their information.

Avast Secure Browser evidently is not one of their whitelisted browsers (yet).

It also is one of the newest.
