Can programmes (and their sub processes / connections) be excluded from scans using the file shield exclusion settings in Avast for mac ?

Eg. if Avast was causing issues with the dropbox desktop app on OSX, could i set an exclusion for /applications/drobpox.app ? And would that stop avast scanning connections and processes launched by dropbox.app ?

Or can the file shield only be used for excluding scanning of files and folders but not applications ?

Hello,

within days we will push out fix of the issues with Dropbox which does something similar to what you have described in your question.

Thanks for reporting these issues.

Kind regards,
