Behaviour Shield Is Screwed
« on: July 12, 2018, 12:03:11 PM »
Behaviour Shield is (was) using 25% CPU of my 4 core processor.

SysInternals' "Process Explorer" reported aswidsagent.exe was using 25% CP constantly.

I managed to Google what the heck it was and disabled Behaviour Shield permanently. It was still using 25% CPU until I rebooted. Then the service aswbIDSAgent was off.

I also got rid of AvastBrowserCrashHandler by using Control Panel / Add Remove Programs - that was before I found out precisely what was using up my CPU and heating up my processor by about 10 degrees C.

Thanks Avast.

So here's an idea:
1. employ software engineers who know what they're doing
2. allow us users to decide if we WANT any program updates. I'm sure we're all happy with Virus Definition updates, but I don't want to be one of the beta testers out in the real world having to sort out your problems.

You think I'm being rude? You should've heard what was going through my head before I fixed the problem.

Now I've wasted an hour of my time.

Bye.
