Less advanced contextual information at MS (website origin- signatures) to get Windows Defender lower in the charts?
How should we read their excuses? Can someone explain?

My simple interpretation is that Defender is better than not having anything.
For better protection, replace it with something else like Avast. :)

Hi bob3160,

In a Microsoft's Windows house "full of reflecting mirrors,
there is not very much room for transparency".

This could be one of the reasons for issues with the av test,
and also the recent problems with incomplete patches for Big Blue (Internet Explorer).
Well problems with backwards compatibility in general.

Microsoft for all things is a "forward driven marketing machine per se".
Not too many eyes on the ball there as it seems.
