removing vps.etl and C:\ProgramData\Avast

somehow the Free version installed on my PC... i did an uninstall but the uninstall was crap- it left a ton of files behind.  I was able to delete everything from Avast except the file vps.etl and the directory it is in C:\ProgramData\Avast.   I have tried various unlocking programs, and they all seem to be unable to delete this. How do i get rid of this unwanted, and potentially damaging file.

You can use the uninstall tool to remove everything completely.

Hi odie2,
vps.etl is log file and is probably held by process that is why it cant be deleted
You can rename it and restart pc.  After restart you should be able to delete it.
