BSOD System Crashes
« on: August 22, 2018, 04:42:23 AM »
I am getting system crashes (Blue Screen of Death) whenever I run a new program. Turning off or uninstalling Avast fixes problems.

BSOD says:
   Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap
   FLTMGR.SYS

When I run dumpchk.exe on the memory.dmp I get:

*                        Bugcheck Analysis                                    *

Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.

BugCheck 7F, {8, ffffbf8019dca050, fffffc0bdf6fd000, fffff80bcc6659e7}

Probably caused by : mozyFilter.sys ( mozyFilter+479d )

The full bugcheck is attached. Have tried uninstalling and re-installing Avast. Only started in the last week or so (today is 22-Aug-2018).
Running Windows 10 64-bit, and am up to date with Windows updates.
