Using license, but not using license
« on: August 04, 2018, 04:03:56 PM »
I think I posted so many threads in short time, but this thread is probaly one of last threads that I am writing (at least now)

In previous threads I was describing problems with licenses, serious installation problems, etc. Today, I finally installed Avast. It's working on 100% but there's one em... issue.

After installing Avast Free Antivirus, I was going to activate my original, bought license of IS. So, I actually did it, but the issue is that after activating and rebooting PC the AV is just showing normally, but a lot of functions from IS - they simply are not there. I can describe it like using Free version, but everywhere is showing that you're using IS version. (ATTACHMENT #1 and #2)

In "My licenses" IS license is showing normally, but AV claims, that I am not using it, and in tab "Licenses on this PC" - there is just nothing. (ATTACHMENT #3)
After trying to activate license, that I am using but I am not using (kinda weird), the error is showing. Reinstalling AV didn't work. (ATTACHMENT #4)

So I think this issue is a little bit easier compared to my previous threads. Cheers, and as always - Waiting for answer!

You failed to state that you were using cracked licenses as in your other topic/s.

Who is to say this is still not the case, my guess this is why you aren't getting any response.  For the most part those regulars on the forums are Avast users, not Avast Team, so are unlikely to get involved if they have any doubt about the use of cracked licenses.

Did you restart after inserting the license file?

If I remember correctly, Avast verifies the paid license every boot (when there is an internet connection) and then the paid components become available.

It has happened in the past that no premium components have shown after inserting a license, however, once a reboot is performed, everything is there.
