AVAST PREMIER : can detect infected mp4 file?

Hello

Please excuse my english, i know it's bad...

If I suspect an mp4 file that i've downloaded may contain viruses or is infected with malware - If it is contain, does Avast Premier can detect it and block it?

Yes but note that NO security program have 100% detection or zero false positives
