Offline Definition Update Fails on several computers with empty last.dump

I've been experiencing this issue for a little over a month now. I update several computers installed with Avast Free in our environment with the offline definition update. Just over half the computers fail with a -1073741819 error code. There is also an empty last.dump file created in the directory of the vpsupd.exe file.

Usually the PC's access the vpsupd file from a file share, but running from a local folder also fails with the same results.

I'm downloading from: https://install.avcdn.net/vpsnitro/vpsupd.exe.

That site leads to the exact same download link. Apparently avdcn.net is where Avast is hosting their files.

Try Asyn's Repair method in reply #1.  Work?  If not, see reply #3 in this thread, and post you have sent off requested support package.
