Has anyone had issues of a clean install taking longer than expected?

The problem is the install process.  Either the install is nearly complete, is 25% complete, or stops working.  I fear the errors may have damaged the processing speed.

Hi,
since the update to the new version I have no access to the network. (Intern/Extern) It also don´t depent which browser I use.
If I deactivate all Avast Modules the network access works.

Having intermittent network issues with the new version, too.  Might work fine for 2 hours, 10 minutes, or 10 hours and then I can no longer get to the Internet connection on my Network.  I uninstalled Avast and I have had no network issues for the last couple of days.
Windows 7 Pro  64-bit.  Network icon in the system tray looks normal.

I have not tried a clean install, yet.

Should I try a clean install or drop back one version or two?  Got to get my client back up and running reliably
Any suggestions or workarounds appreciated.

- Chuck

It did indeed update smoothly - imperceptibly is a word that readily springs to mind. But did not any one notice that web pages now time out before loading, unless you disable protection and Avast seems to hog the available connections so that Outlook cannot find anymore:
'concurrent connection limit in Avast exceeded(pass:0, processes:OUTLOOK.EXE[48])' EmailShield.ini has no entry for the maximum number of connections, and as the folder is protected, even from an administrator, Coco cannot add one to it.  :-\

Time to disable Avast again, I must refresh the page....
'This site can’t be reached
id.avast.com took too long to respond.'

Coco doesn't really care, or should that be Coco does really not care, or even Coco does not care really, where the adverb is placed, but Coco does hope the bug is quickly fixed quickly and soon.

Kind regards

Stick with your other post for now, which I have answered.

Your suggestion that avast is hogging the connections is incorrect, when you get this concurrent connections error you will see what is eating the concurrent connections and Avast can't get a look in, not that it is using the connections.

Your own post shows what is using the connections "processes:OUTLOOK.EXE[48]" highlighted above.

Behavior shield is now cuase unseccap.exe to run, it shouldn't be and never has till recently and unseccap.exe is process  I never let stay running cause it opens up security issue, please fix

Before behavior shield started this only installing the cleanup component caused this, which why I removed it in first place. but removing that shield opens different security risk.

I cant say I am surpised by this, 3 years later they still didnt fix the slow loading on images in main avast screen, and that is on SSD on hdd it much worse, granted it not as bad as it use to be,

unseccap.exe can be terminated and behavior shield works fine

DavidR thank you for your gentle rebuke. This was not the place to mention the mail issue, even though it only appeared after this recent update. And thank you for adding to the other post the necessary solution.

Hello!
Today after this update of Avast my computer have a strange behavior that it didn't have until today. Basically some games I play like Europa Universalis 4 or Rocket League, during the game it's minimize automatically the game while I didn't press alt + tab. I do count the minutes and I noticed that the game I play goes minimezed every 3:30 minutes.

I tried restarting the PC (the first thing I did), then I tried enable/disable the silent mode and lastly disable all avast components. None of this helped. Since yesterday I didn't have any issues and from today yes It's important to specific that I didn't installed any software or surfed malicious websites. I did like I do every day, facebook, gaming, reddit/9gag and some news.

Searching to google about this issue, I found this link:

https://steamcommunity.com/app/440/discussions/0/1738841319810907976/

It's been posted from a few days ago and the user which opened that tread said that he have Avast as antivirus aswell and by that I'm almost convinced that it's Avast fault since from yesterday, to today only this software got the update and nothing else happened to my PC as I said before.

He used to fix his problem using windowed mode and back to full-screen. In my case this didn't solved.

My issue is happening to an Asus Rog G752VY-GC178T with W10 x64 PRO OS.

Go to Menu> Settings> Components> Scroll down to Do Not Disturb Mode and disable it.
See if that makes a difference and report back.
