Avast Update Helper Error.

Hi,

Since the latest update on my Windows 7 pc I am getting the following error in the event manager:-

avast update helper error 1316 the specified account already exists.

Then the pc loses Firefox completely and the services tab in the event manager is empty so I have to reboot!

Any idea how to stop this happening, please?

You could try a 'Repair' of Avast.

I have performed the repair and will wait and see if that solves the problem.

If the problem persists you should do a 'Clean Install' of latest version.
