Need help with Avast SandBox
« on: August 23, 2018, 11:54:00 PM »
Hello!
So,
Avast is detecting a file as a virus, But I honestly think it isn't.
the thing is, I can't seem to find a way to add the file to exceptions, so every time I open it with Avast's Sanbox, it just adds it to avast virus chest everytime.
I just want to open the file in Sanbox to see if it really is a virus.

Test the file at VT (https://www.virustotal.com) and post the link to the result here.
Windows 8.1 [x64] - Avast PremSec 19.7.2388.BC - CC 5.61 - EEK - Firefox ESR 60.8 [NS/AOS/uBO] - TB 60.8 [EM] - ACP/ASB/ASL.BC

I mean it is going to say it's a virus, because its a keygen, tho Avast says its clean, only when I open it, avast alerts.

EDIT: I also used the old trick to see if it is a virus (Extracting the file using 7zip), and it showed only one exe (the keygen) 2 dll files and a ".xm" file, so there aren't any other exe's in it

Sorry, won't help you with keygens.

Aight, then I have another file which avast says its a virus (its a game, everything was fine for like 3 weeks and then avast decided that its a virus)
I want to check if it really is a virus or not, how do I run it on sandbox without it being automatically sent to the virus chest?

This could literally be for any file. you honestly shouldn't care what file I have, I just asked how can I open it with sandbox without it being automatically sent to virus chest, cuz then SandBox is literally useless, what's the point of having a virtual place when it automatically sends it to virus chest?
BTW the game I'm talking about is a true story, but you don't want it to be a keygen so here. changed the story.
