Avast secure browser discolored
« on: August 27, 2018, 07:32:14 PM »
My Avast secure browser is discolored. I have looked for a setting but can not find one to change it. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled. Still the same. My other browsers and my desktop are still bright and not dull yellow so I know I am not in Night Mode. Attached is a screen shot with Avast browser, Google chrome and Microsoft edge all open to same page so you can see the difference.

I have the same problem, but mine is redish. All the colors look like they have been put through a red filter.
Here is the comparison of the same web page with Avast Secured Browser and Internet Explorer.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
@chocholo and @MartinZ, guys this issue is serious it's not just a bug, it's really annoying. Help us with this.

I'll alert Avast. It's not something I've experienced.

I've again reported this on the developers forum. We'll need to wait for a response from Avast.

Hello, we know about this issue already. We plan to fix it in 69.1 version of the browser.

To avoid the issue, try this: secure://flags -> Force Color Profile -> Change profile from default to sRGB

Btw. do you have any software installed and running persistently which can be responsible for it? What OS and graphic card do you have?

Thanks

Thanks for the fix. This works for me. The colors are back to normal.

BTW: win7 ultimate x64 and NVidia gtx260. All color profiles that can be set up from NVidia control center, standard windows' profiles, adobe's profiles in photoshop are set to their default settings. I haven't changed a single thing there ever.

This setting also fixed mine.

The computer with the discoloring issue in Avast browser is a Desktop Windows Home 10 x64, Intel(R) HD Graphics, as far as programs CorelDraw is used everyday. I also use a Laptop Windows Home 10 x64, Intel(R) HD Graphics 620 also CorelDraw and it does not have the discoloring problem with the Avast browser.

I'm not seeing any issue here with color on ASB with any of my OS's (sig) :)

I also have no issues but, it apparently effects some and Avast is taking care of those affected. :)
