I have exactly the same issue!!
I have excluded twitter, even disabled avast web for an hour and it still will not load. Error: This site could have harmed your computer.
I have tried bank mode and opened twitter and also get an error that it contains malicious content.
How to fix this?

I have also just encountered this issue. Putting the site on the exclusion list did nothing.
As a footnote the verification letters are damn near illegible and the "listen to"option fails.
Edit: Firefox Browser

Same issue with the popup from the avast online security extension blocking any twitter links saying it may have harmed your pc. Only way I can stop it is by turning the extension off in the browser settings, but that's not really a solution I'd advise. I tried excluding twitter on the web shield settings but that didn't fix it at all.

Using Google Chrome and all my programs are up to date, hopefully avast can hotfix the problem soon.

Same problem here. Used twitter fine a few hours ago.  Using Firefox on XP Pro SP3.  (I know, but I can't afford to upgrade yet!!)
