I installed Avast on a new PC today, and I used the most recent downloader from the official Avast website.
After installing I entered my old serial number for the pro version (licence is valid until June 2019) and Avast accepted it so now it's running as fully registered version, not in evaluation mode.
I can access the internet just fine.
BUT I cannot receive any emails. I'm using Mailbird as my email client, with several POP3 accounts. It tries to synchronize for a while and then just stops, without any error messages. It cannot send or receive any emails.
When I disable Avast protection for 10 minutes it synchronizes within a few seconds and I get all my emails. So the problem is clearly with Avast and not with my email settings.
I do not want to disable Avast just to get my emails, and I do want it to scan all attachments. However, I don't want my emails blocked completely.
Please help?!
