I want this to get fixed
« on: September 02, 2018, 07:18:32 PM »
On 8/9/2018 I installed your free version of Avast antivirus to see if I should get the full thing or not. However, I ran into a very large problem with it. During the not-even three weeks that I had it installed I noticed that for the first time in forever I was receiving emails of failed log in attempts from places like Syria, Russia, Turkey, and Brazil. Thankfully, none were successful- for long. Sometime at night during the 26th, and the morning of 27th, someone managed to successfully sign into my Epic games account, Microsoft, and Pay-pal account, and that is what I woke up to. Again, thankfully I had two-step authentication on my Pay-pal and Microsoft email. But the person was able to get onto my Epic games and spend some money it before I changed the password to all of the accounts. I had already noticed the coincidence so I immediately uninstalled your free anti-virus  Avast, and its been three days and I have not gotten a single email about sign in attempts. However an even bigger problem has arisen, after the removal of Avast, my Computer's work power has been more than cut in half, causing it to slow down from almost a twelve second boot to almost a full minute boot time. It also comes with an error during boot that certain files are missing from the windows directory. The ordeal has cause a lot of work hours being wasted and it losing me money.
I've sent emails but I just keep getting answers from bots, it has now been five days and I still have not gotten another attempt in sign in email, however this is causing me a lot of problems, I need to be funded the money for the computer that's basically ruined at this point, and it works as if it's from 2001. If this doesn't get dealt with i'll have to go to my lawyers.

Sounds like possible Remnants from previous installation.
If you didn't use the Avast Removal Tool, try this and see if things improve.

Avast uninstall tool is here:  https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility

Tool should provide option to run in Safe Mode, choose Yes :)
