Two new scheduled tasks have appeared: "TaskMachineCore" and TaskMachineUA". Does anyone know what these do and what the effect is if I disable them?

While I'm at it, does anyone know how to turn off the "AvastBrowserUpdate" and the  "AvastBrowserCrashHandler" processes that load automatically. They've hidden them too well.

It seems that every time I turn around, Avast is installing some new update task or process. almost as though they think I have a computer just to run their AV.

If you aren't using the Avast Browser, Uninstall it.
