MWB and Avast

Had to get a new computer as the hard drive failed in the old one.  So have Windows 10 now; it is fully updated.   I have the newest version of Avast Free running on here with no issues.  I know in the past, there was a problem with Avast and Malwarebytes playing well together on the same machine.  Will the free version of MWB and free version of Avast play together nicely?    I have searched online and I find conflicting answers on this.  I don't want to mess anything up!   Thanks in advance for any advice you may have for me.

I am using the free version of MalwareBytes for scans, and Avast Internet Security without issue.  As long as the paid version of MalwareBytes isn't running resident there should be no conflict.
