Avast paid
« on: October 10, 2018, 11:43:11 PM »
Why does Avast, my net security company -- that I pay for -- use such sleazy, used-car salesman methods to sell its products?

I'm speaking of the Driver updater, that starts as a 'free' deal and then becomes a pay thing once you get going.

I mean, I'm a customer.

Shouldn't I be treated better?

Driver updater is a paid product. All items that you see that have a lock next to them are paid products.

In order to use these tools, you need to pay for them or, purchase a license
for a version that includes that paid product.

The driver updater is not included in any paid product and is always a separate purchase.
If you don't intend to pay for any of these products, use a custom install or, delete the component.
Not all of the paid components can be deleted or avoided with a custom install.
