Trojan on a Mac?
« on: October 14, 2018, 03:16:54 AM »
Hello,
First time posting here. I am on a Macbook Pro OS 10.12.6, running Avast Free (for now).

I keep getting pop ups from Avast of an infection blocked. One about every 2 hours (in most instances from the same exact email). Always in my mail, and emails that aren't necessarily a Trojan. I ran a ton of different virus softwares and nothing was really found. My thought is maybe Avast updated it's rules? Or is this some kind of Trojan virus that keeps hiding itself behind emails.

I also have another issue of my Kernel_Task sending out crazy amounts of data. I think this may have more to do with my Apple Time Machine, but I was wondering if my computer is possibly being used as some kind of cryptocurrency slave?

Well it is not on your Mac but in a recived mail/attachment

Access your mail account from webmail, check that detected mails are deleted
Clear your mail app cach/sync and reboot
