Help please. I have started using Avast as my default browser, but it won't let me access my Gmail account. Apparently I have to enable cookies (whatever they are!) and I can't find out how to do this.
I have to use Chrome as the browser to open my Gmail.
If responding, please bear in mind that I am 71 years old, non-tech savvy and a bit of a Luddite, so please don't baffle me with clever acronyms, jargon or uber-tech (and don't patronise, I'm not stupid)

Well, both of those responses were no help at all, thank you. Quite frankly, I really don't care what cookies are, I just want to know how to enable them .....
And the second response doesn't address my question at all, either.
