Some basic questions about Avast CloudCare
« on: October 17, 2018, 03:19:31 PM »
As the topic states:

1. Why is there STILL no easy way of assessing the DB version of all endpoints?
2. Why when a scheduled scan (or scan triggered from the admin portal) does the client show NO INDICATION a scan is underway - AT ALL??? AVG used to!
3. Why has the option to have all USB (removable media) scanned IN FULL gone?
4. Why when removable media are being scanned is there NO INDICATION AT ALL a scan is in progress?
5. When, oh when will the policy option be restored (along with FULL SCANS of removable media) to allow users to terminate a removable media scan?
6. Why is the ONLY way of finding out when ANY scan other than one manually triggered by the user via the client GUI, to run a stupid report via the admin portal and wade through naff "client side logs"? It should be in the client GUI!!!

These are very basic and fundamental features.....

WHY ARE THEY MISSING?

Just about all used to be there in the AVG version, before Avast utterly ruined it...

As the Endpoint developer I don't have much knowledge about the Cloudcare console and backend limitations after our brand merge. Perhaps you could raise the issues to our cloudcare support so they can forward it to the most qualified person. Thanks.

Tried that.....

It is easier getting a personal audience with God than speaking to anyone in support - even in conference calls WITH our resller - who has concrete (or any other type of) answers to those questions.
