Author Topic: Avast updates/upgrade causing workstation high CPU and no internet  (Read 2141 times)

Now we have additional NEW issues, besides our L300 Thin client VSpace connection issues.  Workstations, not related to the thin clients, now showing high CPU >75 pointing to Avast software.  Disable Avast software and workstation returns to normal cpu load and then able to connect to internet.
Please advise, this has severely impacted our organization.

I have just gone though several Forum posts and it "looks" like it is one or several "Active Protection" services.  I've disabled the Mail, Antispam and Firewall.  I saw that the Firewall was blocking Google.

Looks like we are back working, at this time however CPU still high avastsvc.exe >75%

this is quite frustrating to our organization to say the least.
