Data Shredder

shred files in recycle bin with Data shredder are easily recovered with Piriform Recuva . so Data shred not working.

Try another algorithm, you can adjust it in the settings.

I paid for this on the understanding that my data would be eradicated. Why should I change the algorithm?

If a changed setting results in effective functioning, why wouldn't you do that>  :)

Sorry I tend to agree with Mike491 on this one. :)
I shouldn't have to change the 'blades' of the shredder. The original 'blades' should work otherwise why buy a shredder.

From my perspective, I feel that's why the software has settings....to change them if needed. All OS are configured differently, the reason the default 'Random' setting didn't effectively shred is unknown.
Maybe the developers can offer their/further information. :)

Just to add, I use the DOD (Dept of Defense) setting with this software which passes 3 times.
