I edited my previous answer
Hi Chris
When you started the process to Try the product (Trial) did you have to submit payment ID information ie>Credit/Debit Card info?
I am not personally concerned by the trial offers (I pay on time if I want the product I have had for years).
But to answer your question, it also depends on the trial offer.
If you already have a paid product and want to try another paid product, avast necessarily already has our bank details for the 1st product and the history has shown that avast does not hesitate to use them for another product.
For a first trial of a paid product, I assume as you say that avast asks for the bank details (or PP account) but - at least for French users - they do not go back to having received an order number and a future activation key whose renewal they could stop (1st payment in fact) as on your capture.Nor pre-approved payment (for Paypal) they can close during the trial period.
it often results in a refund after the trial... but it's a little too late
In fact my intervention here was more to answer a user on the French forum who already has a paid product (premium) that he wants to keep but who wants to stop the trial offer of another product (cleanup), he nowhere finds the trace of an e-mail (order number) nor the trace of this test on his customer account with the same identifier (e-mail)
https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=222976.0In short, all this to say that many members report on this forum their worry and misunderstanding about stopping a trial version and avast procedures are not always very clear on this subject
a "stop trial" button on the program itself would be more appropriate than a combatant's course offered by avast, but I guess it's not in their interest to do such simple things.
