Adding in custom search providers
« on: October 26, 2018, 06:52:55 AM »
Hello there. Got a bit of a problem, which I'm quite certain is a bug. I have gone to secure://settings and then added a custom search for a website that I frequent probably about 7 times or so now. I can confirm that everything works fine and I can search using the omnibox with no issues at least for a bit. Maybe a day later or so, I tried to search the site again and what do you know, it is no longer in the list of providers when I got so secure://settings. This has been more than frustrating having to add this back in over and over and over. Decided to stop pulling may hair out and just start using the Vivaldi browser instead for the time being. I quite like the Avast Secure Browser but as a poweruser so to speak, I need to be able to take advantage of shortcuts. I felt like I have been losing my mind for about a week and a half now, but then eventually realized that I wasn't going insane and that the browser is in fact removing it from my search providers. Please help!
