Is there a command line switch available to delay the startup of tuneupsvc.exe?
I would like to control when the service is activated via the Windows Task Scheduler.
The service starts up using nearly 20% of the CPU for at least five minutes before it stabilizes.
What is happening during this startup phase? When I start the Avast Cleanup Premium app the scans are performed upon selection of options, so its initial startup does not seem to be caching results or anything beforehand.
Is the Tuneupsvc.exe even needed to use Avast Cleanup Premium? I do not need it to be running all the time.
Hi,
this is really not the intended behavior and we are not even able to reproduce it internally on our machines.
It is true that Tuneupsvc.exe takes about 20% of CPU when it starts but it lasts only for couple seconds and then it drops to 0%.
We would appreciate if you could collect the log files and send them over so we can take a look at it and investigate it further.
You can simply send them by executing our log collector utility from this path
C:\Program Files (x86)\AVAST Software\Avast Cleanup\tulogcollector.exe assuming that you have still Avast Cleanup installed on your computer.
Just please add your email address there so we can join the logs with your report here.
Thank you.
