Router Configuration
« on: November 05, 2018, 08:21:22 PM »
The network scan has of late been telling me that my router is not configured correctly. I have changed the Admin page password from it's default, I have changed the wifi password. I have went so far as to disable wifi entirely as I don't use it anyway. I have turned the router firewall to max security...but no matter what settings I tweak, Avast still insists it is configured wrong.

The router is a Cisco brand through Xfinity. model Dpc3941t

Any help is most appreciated.

Found a specific part I had missed. It says my router needs updated DnsMasq 2.78  firmware.

I have zero clue how to update this since I rent the router from Comcast and the posts I can find online say that it is a project for experts and that Avast has given them the same message and they are also lost.

Any guidance on this one?
