I've looked in the forum a bit and sounds like I'm having a time machine issue. The first 90% of the scan was done in the first four hours. But the progress bar has been stuck at 96% all night and into today. The names of last scanned files are still quickly updating. They are all Time Machine and have the word 'sparsebundle' associated with them. I don't want to stop the scan and lose the progress (It detected 21 infections in that first few hours and I want to deal with them.) Advice?

UPDATE. Now we're at 97% and stuck on a single file for the last 30 minutes. This is a file on my google drive.

Hello,

by default we should not scan Time Machine backups when scanning. We have seen a case where the first read of a file in Time Machine partition took 15 seconds to finish (probably something in Apple's driver, this is not easily detectable), which of course slows down the scan a lot.

Just stop the scan, the detections found should still be in the report. And I suggest turning off "scan Time Machine backup" option of the scan you are starting.

Kind regards,
