BGP Misrouting Present in Avast VPN?
« on: November 06, 2018, 08:55:14 PM »
See attached below:

First set is initial attempt to use VPN set to Chicago, USA

Second set is second attempt to use Chicago, USA.

Both are routed through Chile.  Why?
Windows 10 Home 64-bit 22H2 Avast Premier Security version 24.1.6099 (build 24.1.88821.762)  UI version 1.0.797
 UI version 1.0.788.  Windows 11 Home 23H2 - Windows 11 Pro 23H2 Avast Premier Security version 24.2.6105 (build 24.1.8918.827) UI version 1.0.801

Hello, mchain.

This is way too normal, but it's boring. It's the same case that a lot of IPs from SecureLine are being recognized as Czech Republic.

About the IP address, take a look here:
http://whois.domaintools.com/181.215.127.246
https://www.ip2location.com/181.215.127.246

There's something about "Chile" on whois website. But i don't think it can define something.
