Hey Guys,

This is my first post. I bought into Avast's Secureline VPN earlier this year hoping that since Avast was back by Microsoft, that this would be a solid piece of software. But honestly can't remember a day that has gone by where this software did NOT disconnect and try to reconnect constantly. Why am I having this problem? I am running Windows 10 Home on a Dell 2-in-1 Laptop (Inspiron 7573). I try to keep all software and drivers updated on this laptop on a daily/weekly basis, and make sure all junk files are removed with the same frequency. Please help. Thanks.

Jack

Is your VPN part of an Avast install or is it the stand alone version ???
If it's part of the AV, you might want to try the stand alone version.

Before installing that standalone version, remove the SecureLine component from Avast, reboot and then install from the link provided.

It's not a standalone version. I paid for it through the Avast Premium software when it was being advertised as an additional service available for purchasing after a free trial.

I'm quite happy with the stand alone version.
Don't have any of the problems you're describing.

Hi, you need to install the standalone version of SecureLine.
http://secureline.tools.avast.com/tools/secureline/avast_secureline_setup.exe
From the changelog: SecureLine VPN component won't be part of AV. User will be offered to install standalone VPN client independent from AV (staged release not for all users now)
W8.1 [x64] - Avast Free AV 23.3.8047.BC [UI.757] - Firefox ESR 102.9 [NS/uBO/PB] - Thunderbird 102.9.1
