New AVG Beta version 19.1.3072

Hi everyone,

new beta version 19.1.3072 (build 19.1.4102) is released.

This release contains many changes but one is really big - this is the first fully 64bit Avg version. Please note that anything can be affected by this change. Please check if you find any issue in Avg functionality - any report is valuable for us. There are some limitations mentioned below, please go through the known issues carefully.

What's new

  • Fully 64bit version (one installer, contains both versions)
  • 19.1 version can`t be installed on Windows XP/Vista
  • Improved network detection in Firewall

What was fixed
  • AVG Free users get warning about expired license
  • FW not running after upgrade from free to premier
  • AntiRootkit and AntiExploit setting needs service restart to apply changes
  • Reset settings to default does not affect firewall settings
  • BSOD because of IDP
  • Result of boot time scan is not in history
  • Switched values (threat type and URL) in Web Shield detection dialog
  • Add & Modify components started from UI is opened in background
  • ARP spoofing protection and scan fixes

Known issues
  • Only latest online installer can be used for installation
  • Smart Scan - no bad browser add-ons detected on x64 systems
  • Data Shredder crashes on x64 systems
  • DND does not start for Windows Store Apps

As far as i know they will not be merging  Avast and AVG into one they are going to stay separate they are just going to be taking the best parts of both and put them into each other so that eventual the only difference will be the U.I. but they will offer the same protection

fyi Avast plz add the software updater, wifi inspector to AVG
